Strikes and grappling techniques that can save your life. Minimizing personal injury during a knife attack. Evasion from common knife strikes and cuts. Options for disarming the attacker. The basic use of an edged weapon. Class is 95% physical training with discussions during training.

Edged weapon EW2, 16 hours.

Prerequisite is EW1.
Covers advanced defence of an edged weapon attack. Advanced striking and grappling methods. Advanced disarming methods. Intermediate use of a knife, bottle, screwdriver and other edged weapons. The use of distance and distraction. Advanced methods of using a knife for personal defence. Counter movement against a knife and with a knife. Class is 95% training with discussions during training.

Edged weapon EW3, 24 to 40 hours.

This is only for the serious person who wants to specialise in edged weapons defence and use. It covers very high level disarming and incapacitating techniques that are suitable for people who are likely to face a regular threat of knife attack In their profession or personal life. This course is very physically and mentally challenging and is designed to give the student a very real and hands on experience of knife fighting. Includes advanced weapon manipulation, specific weapons tactics and multi attacker defence and attack scenarios. Knife on knife simulations. Alternate weapons counter techniques. Group tactics for disarming and more. This is strictly for the professional and requires a high level of physical fitness. Class is 95% physical training with discussions during training.

HANDGUN COURSES

Handgun personal defense PD1A, 16hours

Covers mental conditioning, weapons handling, manipulation, proper shooting stance, chamber checks, tactical & Speed reloads, weapons malfunctions, multiple threat engagements, turn pivots and 180s, and use of the handgun in the personal defense mode.

Handgun personal defense PD1B, 16hours

The PD1a is a prerequisite for this course. Covers hasty positions, prone firing, medium distance firing, shooting while moving, night firing concealed carry, moving targets, and close contact firing.

Handgun personal defense PD1C, 24hours

The PD1b is a prerequisite and mandatory to attend this course. If you have attended the General pistol at Gunsite or the Pistol course at Black water or Thunder ranch, these are accepted for enrollment into this course. This is not a beginning course and demands are high. The objectives of this course are; combine and integrate skills, provide stressful scenarios and introduce initial stress inoculate. This is an individual skills development course and doesn’t combine team or group (collective) skills. Over 80% of this course is field application and 20% lecture.

SHOTGUN COURSES

Shotgun personal defense SPD1a, 16hours

Covers the theory of the modern shotgun, accessories, patterning, zones of fire, proper mount, chamber check, sling carry positions, ready positions, selective loading, malfunctions, turns pivots and 180s, tactical loading , multiple threat engagement and kneeling position.

Shotgun personal defense SPD1b, 16hours

The SPD1b is a prerequisite for this course. Covers prone position, extended distance firing, transitions to the handgun, shooting while moving, disablement manipulation, weapons retention, tactical employment and night firing.

**Courses for special purpose breaching shotguns and tactical shotgun conducted at special request only. This also covers less lethal shotgun use and entry type shotguns.**

TACTICAL CARBINE COURSES

Tactical carbine rifle TC1a, 20hours

Covers the advantages of the rifle, basic employment, carry positions, basic ballistics of the 223 zeroing of the weapon, chamber checks, ready positions, speed & tactical loading, malfunctions, overall tactical employment of the carbine rifle, turns pivots and 180s, multiple threat engagement, and kneeling positions.

Tactical carbine rifle TC1b, 20hours

The TC1a is a prerequisite for this course. Covers extended distance firing, weapons retention, close contact firing, transitions to the handgun, night firing, shooting while moving, hasty positions and gas mask firing. This course is physically demanding and not for everyone.

PRECISION RIFLE COURSES

Precision rifle PR 1a, 32 hours

Covers basic use, manipulation, and overall indoctrination to the scoped rifle or counter sniper rifle system. Topics to be instructed, Maintenance of the weapon, weapons data cards and manuals, optics, the nomenclature and design of the countersniper rifle, ballistics, range cards and panoramic drawings, camouflage, movement, team configurations, KIMs games and firing out to 400 meters. All work is at known distances.

Precision rifle PR 1b, 40 hours

The PR 1a is a prerequisite course for this class. This course covers construction of hides, unknown distance firing and range estimation, effects of all environmental conditions, slope and angle firing, target prioritization, patrolling, basic employment and deployment considerations for military and law enforcement snipers, stalking exercises, night & dim light firing, employment of the weapon out to 750 meters. This course is by design extremely demanding and physically trying.

SUBMACHINE GUN COURSES

Submachine gun MP5 1a, 24hours

Covers all basic principles of employment, use and manipulation of the Submachine gun. We will cover zeroing of the weapon, operating principles, Tactical and speed loading of the weapon, malfunctions, overall tactical employment, turns pivots and 180s, multiple threat engagement, transitions, hasty positions, shooting on the move and proper maintenance.

Submachine gun MP5 1b, 24 hours

The MP5 1a is a prerequisite for attendance of this course. Covers advanced use and manipulation of the weapon, disablement firing, gas mask firing, night & dim light firing, weapon retention and close quarter firing and advanced training drills and qualifications.

PRIVATE COURSES

These are provided to customers who desire one on one instruction because of security issues and or time factors. We develop, instruct and execute these private classes for single persons or groups. These are closed courses for confidentiality for those customers who possess greater security risks. These classes are custom designed and tailored to the client's desires.

PERSONAL PROTECTION COURSES

Personal Protective measures:

This course is designed for the Executive traveling aboard or the person who wants to be prepared for that next adventure trip. This class is also recommend for those who possess a heightened level of security risk domestically.

Topics to be covered:
destination research (Area studies) conflict avoidance, security procedures, vehicle safety concerns, likely methods of attack, hostage survival, explosives recognition and much more. We will prepare you to travel anywhere and the safety measures you must take to insulate yourself from attack or kidnapping. This course was developed from the US Government curriculum for Ambassadors and state department officials. We highly recommend this class to persons traveling to the following destinations: Spain, Middle East, South & Central America, Africa, Russia and the Baltic States (check current state department website for travel destination alerts and information).

EXECUTIVE PROTECTION COURSES

Executive protection series (EXP1A, 1B, and 1C.)

This series of courses is designed to develop, prepare and train the student for duty as a personal protector. This course is very extensive and filled with information. Primarily this course is offered in Scandinavia. We have conducted numerous courses of this type there. The complete series is 100 hours in length and covers every facet of basic personal protection. Due to demand and detail of course these are conducted for no less than 15 personnel. This course is broken into three 3day blocks.

Some topics are instructed by guest lectures who are contracted for their respective area of expertise. You will note that firearms are not addressed in the EXP1A, 1B or 1C. The Executive protection 1D covers the use of the Handgun in the defensive role.

IMTT doesn't openly advocate that all protectors be armed. The use of weapons as a protector indicates by nature that they have already failed to in their responsibilities. Yes there are times when a protector must be armed and at times heavily armed but these are few and far between. Very , very few persons have been saved by a protector with a weapon. However hundreds avoid threats everyday by thinking and assessing thereby preventing injury to themselves and their clients.

LAW ENFORCEMENT & MILITARY

TACTICAL WEAPONS TRAINING

General Tactical weapons package; GTW1 , 16hours.

This course of instruction covers the Handgun and Carbine tactical rifle. This class is developed for tactical teams specifically. A cross section of the latest techniques and developments in this area are presented to you in a extremely concentrated method. Each operator will need 750-1000 rds of 9mm and 1000 rds of 223 ammo. All firing is conducted during day light hours on static ranges.

Topics to be covered; Tac reloads, speed reloads, malfunction procedures, Multiple threat engagement, hammers and controlled pairs, make ready and make safe, Failure drills, transitions and shooting on the move

General Tactical weapons package; GTW2 , 24hours.

The GTW1 is a required course prior to attending the GTW2. This course is a skills reinforcement course designed to push the students ability while honing and engraining weapons manipulation. This class is for tactical team personnel specifically. This course covers the Handgun and Tactical carbine rifle. Course length is 24 hours three days.

Topics to be covered; No light & low light firing, shooting on the move, tandem firing, weapon manipulation, moving targets, oblique firing while shooting on the move, gas mask firing, and disablement shooting.. All operators must demonstrate proper weapons manipulation and skill prior to attending this course. This course is designed to refresh and push the team to the edge of the envelope. Each operator will need 1200 of 223 ammo and 1000 9mm.

Tactical SMG 1 package; SMG1 , 24hours.

The GTW1 is a required course prior to attending the SMG1. This weapon course is designed to train the operator in the proper use and manipulation of the MP-5 submachine gun. This class will qualify the operator in the proper use, deployment and manipulation of the HK MP-5 Submachinegun. Course length is 3 days, 24 hours of training.

Topics to be covered; proper maintenance, sighting, function, make ready, make safe, Tac-loading, Speed loading, malfunction procedures, Transitions, multiple threat engagement and much more. All techniques have been derived from HK International training team, USN SEAL Teams, LASD SWAT and LAPD SWAT. The operator will discharge 3000 rds of ammo during this course.

Tactical SMG 2 package; SMG2 , 24hours.

The SMG1 is a required course prior to attending the SMG2. This weapon course is designed to reinforce the skills learned in the SMG1. The student will be pushed and expected to perform all prior skills learned during the SMG1. Course length is 3 days and 3500 rds of ammo per operator.

Topics to be covered; night firing, low light firing, no light firing, tandem firing, gas mask firing, shooting on the move and much more.

Tactical Shotgun 1 package; TS1, 24 Hours.

The GTW1 is a prerequisite course to attend the TS1. This course covers the manipulation and employment of the Remington 870 shotgun in the tactical role. The operator will learn during the course of instruction the following, select loading, patterning effects, transitions , make ready and make safe procedures, ready positions, sling carry positions shooting on the move and much more. The objective of this course is to indoctrinate the operator to the proper use, handling and mission of this weapon system.

ENTRY OPERATIONS

General entry package 1; GEP1, 24hours.

The GTW1 is a prerequisite course to attend the GEP1. This course was developed with the intention of providing a general overview of entry tactics to provide a basis for continued training. This course is designed to immerse the unit attending in the general tactics and principles of entry operations as rapidly as possible.

Topics to be covered; OODA, basic team configurations, basic individual equipment, force multiplication, flexibility and adaptability factors, cell and trailer movement, flooding on line, train method, entry principles, proper extraction and post operational considerations, tactical guidelines and general safety considerations. Basic Hostage rescue operations will be introduced. Simunitions will be utilized during this course.

Operational planning; OP, 16hours.

This course has been developed to address the mission planning procedures and guidelines during a situation. This course is designed to instill a great level of confidence and preparedness for emergency responses as well as a cohesive method of deploying and responding to crisis situations.

Topics to be covered; Warning orders, Operations orders, Fragmentary orders, Execution orders, Assault planning, Scouting and Intel gathering , mission planning cycle, Essential elements of information, development of Standard Operational Procedures, feasibility analysis and immediate response planning. During this course there will be command post exercises, hands on practical application and simulations.

Course objective: prepare all SERT team personnel to plan correctly during a emergency, formulate a feasible plan concept , develop courses of action and execute them.

Covert entry package; CEP, 24 hours.

The GTW1 and the GEP1 are prerequisite courses in order to attend the CEP. This course of instruction is designed to properly introduce the student population to covert and surreptitious entry operations and methods.

Topics to be instructed; proper equipment considerations, use of ballistic shields, pole light mirroring methods, silent deployment, safety considerations, low & no light operations , organization , hand signals and more. The objectives of this course are to prepare units to respond to situations requiring this knowledge and have a method to safely and cohesively conduct these risky operations with great confidence and skill.

Dynamic entry package; DEP, 20 hours.

The GTW1 and the GEP1 are prerequisite courses in order to attend the DEP. This course of instruction is designed to immerse the student population in proper and safe Dynamic entry techniques.

Topics to be instructed; cell and trailer movement, window entries, gun ports, basic mechanical breaching (This will include the use of your Carie cable), man down drills, considerations of chemical agent use, secondary entry points & secondary assault teams, strong hold options, prisoner handling concerns in the correctional setting and low & no light operations. This is a extremely condensed course to facilitate rapid dissemination of information. The unit attending this course must be proficient with all skills previously learned. This course includes simunitions and LSDD when sites are available live fire training will be conducted.

Hostage rescue training package; HRT, 24 hours.

The GTW1 ,GEP1 and the OP are prerequisite courses in order to attend this course. It is additionally recommended that students attend the DEP course prior to attending this course. Due to the nature of this course the students must have a understanding of proper operational planning and above average weapons skills. This course is designed to prepare students for the hostage rescue environment.

Topics to be covered ; Immediate room domination, immediate threat concepts, entry team configurations, special considerations, multi level simultaneous operations, primary & secondary entry points, prisoner handling, considerations of chemical agent use, engagement of active & passive resistors, setting the corridor and HUTS reports. This course includes the use of live fire, simunitions LSDD and Chemical agents.

MARKSMAN SNIPER

Urban sniper course

**The IMTT precision rifle course is a prerequisite course to attend this series of classes***

It's recommended that all students attending have a clear understanding of their weapons personality and possess an up to date weapons data book on their rifle.

Topics to be covered; Basic mission planning for urban operations, special equipment needed, camouflage/ disguises, basic photography / use of video cameras, proper concealment methods for weapons, urban hide selection / development & construction, wind reading in the urban environment, slope firing methods, likely mediums to engage, range cards, range estimation in the urban environment, threats on appearance, permissive / semipermissive & nonpermissive environments, simultaneous firing methods and moving threats. This course is 50 hours in length and includes live fire and dry practice drills. This course is concluded with a full mission profile exercise that lasts up to 18 hours. Firing distances are limited to 400 yards and closer.

Rural sniper course

This course of instruction is extremely physically taxing and persons attending should be in moderate to excellent condition. The student must possess an up to date weapons data book on their weapon and be keenly aware of it's personality.

Topics to be covered; Basic mission planning for rural operations, map recon, basic recon considerations, range estimation, wind reading, hide selection / development & construction, stalking, movement, equipment considerations, basic photography / use of video cameras, observation games, basic escape and evasion tactics, basic tracking and counter tracking techniques, range cards and extended distance firing out to 700 yards. This course is concluded with a full mission profile that lasts up to 16 hours. This course is 60 hours in length and last 5 - 7 days depending on customers desires.

This course is to certify the student in the use and application of the expandable baton.

Light Sound Diversionary Device user course

This course will certify the student in the use and employment of the Light sound diversionary device. This course is integrated into other courses in addition to set hours of instruction.

Impact munitions and sting-ball user course

This course will certify the student in the use and employment of all types of impact munitions projected from launchers and grenades. This class is integrated into other courses in addition to set hours of instruction.

Night and Low light weapons training

This covers the use of night vision goggles; scopes and IR laser assisted weapons and light assisted weapons. The time frame of this class depends on your request. This course is tailored to your needs and desires. *24 hours.

Tactical Rappelling

This is designed for special teams of personnel who must rappel from structures.
This class covers: Basic knot tying, anchor considerations, equipment nomenclature, and multiple methods of rappelling, window entries, and much more.

Maritime (NAVSPECWAR) courses

These courses are custom designed by our qualified personnel. Our maritime courses are designed and developed on a case by case basis. Be specific regarding your training requirements and enabling skills currently possessed by your personnel. We will conduct a need assessment and tailor a course for your unit based on this compiled information. These are closed courses executed for entire units in confidentiality. SUICIDE BOMBER MITIGATION TACTICS

IMTT developed this course of instruction in response to escalating violence in correctional facilities throughout the United states. Over 30 prisons in one state have formally adopted the IRF concept as official policy. The result; numerous facilities have quelled incidents with a minimum of force, few injuries (both inmate and staff) and little or no media attention. Each students will need, full riot gear, primary and secondary weapon 700-1000 rounds of ammo for each, Gas grenade (CN, CS or OC), 1 gas mask, 1 impact stringball grenade, 1 Light sound diversionary device, physical fitness uniform, Baton (PR-24, ASP, or straight baton), 1 flashlight, uniform for extended rough, rappel seat, carbinor with figure eight wear and boots.

1. To prepare and formulate a team of selected personnel from a given client for CERT duty.
2. Provide a basic operational ability to perform as a team during an emergency that would require the intervention of CERT.
